Freelance Artists Sought by Deterrent Comics

Deterrent Comics feature art in the style of 1950s EC comics and in the style of superhero comics from all periods prior to the mid 1980s. Completely new and original styles will also be considered.

All work will be contracted on a work-for-hire basis. Stories will be provided by Replikon. For artists with whom Replikon is able to work well, the potential exists for a long-term working relationship, including longer stories.

Replikon is based in the northwest suburban Chicago area, but the geographical location of the applicant is unimportant. Offshore applicants will be offered equal exploitation.

Applicants must provide samples of their work. The preferred method of application is by e-mail to jason@replikon.com, providing a URL at which we can find your portfolio. We request that you do not send unsolicited e-mail with large attachments. If it is necessary to apply this way, please send us an e-mail without attachments first telling us this and wait for our reply.

Applicants may also mail hard copies of their work to Replikon, P.O. Box 526, Elgin, IL 60121. Submissions cannot be returned, so please do not send original copies of art.
